The "Rahul" Brand of Politics - Innovation or Repackaging?

For a Person who feels that Politics is in your "Shirt & Pants", Mr. Rahul Gandhi entered the Indian Political arena a little late.....He announced his entry into the Indian Political Space by running for Amethi constituency in 2004 Lok Sabha elections when he was 33 years old.....With the "Escape Velocity of Jupiter" he has achieved things which many other can only dream of!! In these 14 years journey, he has risen from a Party man to National President of Indian National Congress. Of these 14 years, 10 years were ruled by UPA with Congress as the core, he din't become any minister in those 10 years so that an ordinary Indian can judge his work ethics & governance style. Now after 14 years (without any experience in governance) the Man has declared that he will be PM if Congress emerges as "Single Largest Majority". 

His PMship & Is he PM Material or not is not the topic of this Blog Post, instead the topic of discussion here is his "BRAND" of Politics!! Every One knows that Rahul has been "Inventing" & "Re-Inventing" or "Packaging" & "Re-Packaging" himself over the years with different styles or different quotations or different practices. The thing is, the more he tries to Innovate, the more he becomes Old Wine in New Bottle! He has tried to imitate Canadian Prime Minister - Mr. Justin Trudeau by projecting to be more "Human" or by showing that he knows "Marshal Arts" or by just saying that "Here I am, the Superhero you want to wipe out all the sufferings of the people of India!" but this was all in vain.

Lately (1-2 months before Gujarat state elections), he has tried to become "Modi-Kejriwal" combine by imitating there successful (or to an extent successful) techniques which these two applied during elections. If one looks at what he did in last 6 months or what he said during this time, it will become ample clear what is meant here.......

• Visiting Temples: Going to Temple is not a bad thing to do, the only problem is that you visit them only when ELECTIONS are around the corner......A person who hardly visit them & suddenly become aware of them ONLY when you have to project a tilt towards HINDUTVA is something one has to be suspect of. He is trying to imitate Modi (or BJP for that matter) & trying to show the "resigned" voter that he is also "Janeu Dhari Hindu"!! One can only wonder that after the policy of Appeasement for all these years, how did one remembered that AFTER ALL HE IS A HINDU!!!???
• "Give me 15 Minutes Against Modi": Rings some bell?? 2014 Varanasi Lok Sabha Seat?? Kejriwal?? Isn't this was what Kejriwal said that He wants to debate with Modi? The thing is that both know that in debating skills Modi is unmatched in this country, but for THEATRICS this is the best ploy which give Win-Win in both situation as If Modi accepts that he raise the status of his rival while if he rejects the offer, HE MUST BE AFRAID of the opponent!! Just to state here that RaGa got one step further here by asking that he wants to debate in Parliament, thus even if Modi accepts, not only RaGa's stature as opponent/challenger will be raised but his Party men can save him (by disruptions) whenever there is need.....SMART MOVE indeed Mr. Rahul!!
